See Art

” The basic project of art is always to make the world whole and comprehensible, to restore it to us in all its glory and its occasional nastiness not through argument, but through feeling. And then to close the gap between you and everything that is not you, and in this way, to pass from feeling to meaning. It’s not something that committees can do. It’s not a task achieved by groups or by movements. It’s done by individuals, each person mediating in some way between a sense of history and an experience of the world. This task is, literally, endless. So, although we don’t have an avant-garde any more, we’re always going to have art.”

These are the words of (in my humble opinion) the greatest art critic of our time, Robert Hughes, an Australian, of course!

We are currently all living in or near to one a city with over 850 art galleries and museums; join us and discover new perspectives, challenge your worldview and learn from our expert guides.

See Art currently has two spaces left for the Autumn term.

Alexandra Warder, a Director of Bosse and Baum art gallery, (https://www.bosseandbaum.com/) will lead us on the bi-weekly tours, which commence on Wednesday, 20th September.

We will also have a waiting list if any members would like to join in on an ad hoc basis.  To put your names down for this, please email me. Places will be offered to the reserve list – first come, first served. I already know of a few spaces, as some committed to the term are away on holiday.

Term starts 20th September and runs on alternate Wednesdays for six sessions closing at the end of November.
£70 per person paid at the start of term.

Please email seeart@awclondon.org.uk  to reserve your place.
